arrowLive Web Cam Images
Tots at work have developed their own internet camera viewing system allowing parents/carers to access live images of their child while at Nursery. All that is required is a suitable internet connection and an internet browser (like Internet Explorer/Netscape Navigator) to view live images.
Images are updated every few seconds however this may vary depending on the speed of your internet connection.
Access is secured through unique usernames and passwords and centre identification code given to each parent.
Nursery Administrators/Managers have the ability to control access to their cameras by day/part day on a per child basis.

arrowOnline Photo Galleries & Portfolios
Online Photo galleries allow settings to record those precious moments during the child’s time at nursery. The Nursery Administrator is able to upload images to a child’s individual gallery and add comments to each picture.
Each child has their own dedicated space on our system so that only parents/carers and the Nursery Administrator have access. The gallery also acts as a photographic record of the child’s work forming an online portfolio. Tots at work provide a digital camera as part of our service as well as providing full details on how to use the system.

arrowOnline Development Records
Allows the Nursery to share important information with parents/carers about the progress a child is making. After setting up either your own template or using our very own template the Nursery can update their development records. As with all Tots at Work features, security is of paramount importance and we ensure only those who are authorised will have access to a child’s information. Parents can browse their child’s development history and support their children by understanding the progress their child is making much faster than they traditionally would.

Tots at work message boards allow parents and the Nursery to communicate without requiring any additional software.
As a parent all you need to do is log into Tots at Work and you will find all of these features at your fingertips in a secure easy to use screen.

arrowHow does it work?
From the perspective of a Nursery, Tots at Work has been designed to be simple to maintain and worry free. We install and maintain all the equipment and provide technical support and upgrades as required.
Cameras installed at the nursery securely feed a live video stream to our data centre where they are stored on our secure web servers. Parents can login to our servers to view the live pictures of their children at Nursery and browse their child’s photo gallery, portfolio and development record. The nursery will require a broadband (ADSL) internet connection which Tots at Work provide.

Because of the much faster internet connection available at our data centre many parents can connect to your cameras to view their children without frustrating slow downs/ picture freezing and as more of your Nursery’s parents use the system we simply increase our capacity to cope at no extra cost to the Nursery.

arrowTotal Control
We ensure that the nursery as maximum control of its web cameras and are able to limit access to individual cameras as well as control times they have access.
For example, if a child is based in “little bears room” for three mornings per week, you are able to grant access only for these times. Our simple “Timetable Manager” will ensure that you are always in total control of parents access. You can review via simple to follow logs to check who is using the system. You will find these in the special interface provided to the Nursery Administrator.

Each Nursery will have a Nursery Administrator who will be able to enable/disable parents access as well as change passwords for parents, set the timetable for access to cameras, and update portfolios and photo galleries for their childcare centre.

Once Tots at Work have enabled your setting by creating all current users and access levels new users are added via our New User Registration Form located on the main Tots at Work web site.

arrowProcess For Adding New Users
New users are added by following a strict set of guidelines which is outlined below.

A new child joins your Nursery.
You supply parents the tots at work website address.
They complete a New User Registration Form for upto three users.
Tots at Work will receive the completed form and verify with the nursery that they are allowed access.
New Users are added to your Nursery database.
Nursery administrator will set access levels and timetable for the child and advise parents of the centre identification. Parent visits Tots at Work main web site and enter centre identifier and are redirected to the Nursery’s secure area where they enter their username and password.
